Kouzou Minashiro was a skilled mechanic who had always been fascinated by the mysterious Fafner mechas. When he was just a child, he had seen a news report about the massive robots and their ability to defend humanity from the fearsome alien invaders known as the Festum. As he grew older, Kouzou dedicated himself to studying everything he could about the Fafner and its inner workings.
